Neuroimaging, Biomarkers and Advanced Diagnostics

Advances in neuroimaging, genetics, molecular research, and biomarker discovery are creating new opportunities for psychiatric research and diagnosis. The session explores brain imaging, electrophysiology, genetic information, inflammatory markers, and other emerging diagnostic approaches. These technologies may contribute to improved understanding of disease mechanisms, early detection, prognosis, and treatment response. Researchers will discuss the potential applications of advanced diagnostics across different psychiatric and neurological conditions. Challenges including reproducibility, validation, cost, accessibility, and clinical interpretation will also be considered. Collaboration among psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, radiology, genetics, and data science will be encouraged. Translating research findings into reliable clinical tools remains an important priority.
