Child Psychology

Child Psychology is the study of mental health of paediatric population that is infants, toddlers and their families. This field aims at promoting emotional well-being in young children and their families and preventing or diagnosing mental health problems in children at the earlier stages. Getting help early helps lessen the effect they hold on child’s development. Unfortunately, majority of the children do not get the help and treatment due to ignorance and stigma related to Mental illness. Also children often lack the developmental ability or vocabulary to explain their issues. Awareness programs and treatment methods are being improved and initiatives are taken towards the betterment of paediatric mental health.
